This is not an exciting movie. I probably would forget immediately after watching it if I haven't heard the critique beforehand.
Matt Demon is not handsome nor charming. His companion is even worse, an old and worn out lady. I don't understand how they can be successful in the first place. When they are defeated, I don't feel the reason is because they have a strong opponent. It's just because they are not well prepared and consider the job too lightly.
Anyway, the theme of the movie, conflicts of the environmental issue and getting out from poverty, remind me the pros and cons arguments on establishment of the forth nuclear plant in Taiwan recently, Many people fight for not using nuclear technology, however, the alternatives like oil and coal can be even more harmful. The cut back of consumption, like the Matt Demon has told us in the movie, is bullshit. It is impossible to happen. It seems that the relative rich people in the city who consume more energy, simply shit the burden of the environmental hazard to the poor in remote area.
I cannot draw a conclusion on this issue. I am too adapted to the modern life which may leads me to become part of the evil.

So sad that those so-called "Environmentalist" in HK just keep blaming the electricity companies but dare not to shout at HK people. It is we, the mass HK people, prefer to consume more electricity and enjoy the modern electrical life.
